This Privacy Policy explains how Nursing Study collects, uses, processes, stores, and protects information when you use our educational mobile apps, website, backend services, and related features. This Privacy Policy applies to apps published on Google Play under the developer name Nursing Study.

By using our apps or services, you acknowledge the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. We use collected information only for providing, maintaining, improving, securing, analyzing, and personalizing our services.

Information Collection and Use

Depending on the app and features you use, we may collect or process information such as app usage activity, quiz progress, learning performance, device or app identifiers, app diagnostics, crash information, advertising identifiers, purchase or subscription status, support messages, and information required to provide app functionality.

Some Nursing Study apps may use an anonymous app-installation or device-based identifier to maintain learning progress, connect activity with backend services, manage rewards, prevent misuse, verify premium access, and calculate app analytics. This identifier is not intended to directly identify the user by name.

Some apps may request permissions such as media, files, photos, notifications, or device-related access only when required for a specific feature. Permission-based information is used only for the purpose for which the permission is requested.

We do not sell personal information. We do not disclose personal information except as described in this Privacy Policy or when reasonably required for law, security, fraud prevention, payment processing, analytics, advertising, hosting, or service operation.

App Usage Analytics and Country Information

Certain Nursing Study apps, including NurseReady NCLEX Prep, may collect limited anonymous app-usage analytics to understand how users interact with the app, improve performance, measure engagement, and plan appropriate regional subscription offerings.

The information collected for this purpose may include:

  • An anonymous app-installation or device-based identifier.
  • App session start, last-active, and end times.
  • Foreground active-use duration.
  • Number of app sessions.
  • App version and device platform.
  • Free or premium access status.
  • Country inferred from the user’s network IP address.

This information may be used to measure daily and hourly active users, calculate average session duration, understand country-level engagement, improve app performance, maintain service reliability, and plan regional subscription prices, promotions, or offerings.

This analytics feature does not request GPS permission and is not designed to collect city, street address, geographic coordinates, or precise location.

The complete IP address is not stored in our custom app-analytics database. The IP address may be processed temporarily to determine the country, after which only the inferred country code and country name are stored for regional analytics. Hosting, security, advertising, or network providers may separately process IP addresses according to their own operational requirements and privacy policies.

Country detection may occasionally be inaccurate when a user uses a VPN, proxy, mobile carrier network, corporate network, or another network-routing service.

Learning and Study Activity

Depending on the app, we may process learning activity such as categories, sections and levels selected, questions viewed, answers selected, correct and incorrect responses, quiz scores, completion history, exam simulation activity, NGN case-study activity, daily challenges, weak topics, Smart Revision activity, readiness scores, bookmarks, mistakes, streaks, and learning recommendations.

This information is used to maintain learning progress, calculate educational analytics, personalize revision recommendations, and provide the requested study features.

Coins, Rewards, and Feature Unlocks

Some apps may process coin balances, daily rewards, streak rewards, rewarded-advertisement completion, coin deductions, content unlocks, and information needed to detect duplicate or invalid reward attempts.

In-app coins are virtual app rewards. They have no cash value and cannot be sold, transferred, or exchanged for real money.

Third-Party Services

Our apps may use third-party services that process information needed to provide app functionality, analytics, advertising, payments, notifications, artificial-intelligence features, security, or diagnostics. These services may include, depending on the specific app:

Artificial Intelligence Features

Some Nursing Study apps may provide AI-powered educational features. When a user requests an AI response, the app may transmit the relevant question, patient scenario, available answer options, selected answer, correct-answer information, existing rationale, limited learning context, or a prompt entered by the user to the configured AI service provider.

Users must not enter patient names, medical-record numbers, addresses, confidential clinical information, personal contact details, or sensitive personal information into AI features.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or simplified. It is provided for educational purposes only and must not be used for diagnosis, treatment, medication, emergency decisions, or patient-specific clinical care.

Log Data

When you use our apps or website, or when an error occurs, we and our service providers may process technical and log information. This may include an IP address, device type, operating-system version, app version, app configuration, request timestamps, app usage date and time, session duration, crash details, diagnostics, network information, security events, and other technical statistics.

Log information is used to maintain service reliability, investigate errors, protect backend services, prevent fraud or abuse, and improve app performance.

Cookies

Our mobile apps do not use browser cookies directly. However, our website, embedded web pages, advertising providers, analytics services, or other third-party services may use cookies or similar technologies to provide features, maintain security, perform analytics, remember preferences, and personalize advertising where permitted.

We may receive limited purchase and entitlement information such as a product or plan identifier, purchase token, purchase status, subscription status, renewal, expiration, cancellation, refund status, and premium-access status. This information is used to verify purchases, activate premium features, restore eligible purchases, and prevent fraudulent access.

Push Notifications

If notifications are enabled, an app may process a Firebase Cloud Messaging token and related technical information to deliver study reminders, daily challenges, streak alerts, weak-topic reminders, service announcements, premium information, or app updates.

Users may control or disable notification permissions through their device settings.

Service Providers

We may use third-party companies and services for app hosting, database storage, analytics, advertising, notifications, AI processing, crash reporting, payment verification, customer support, security, fraud prevention, country detection, and app improvement.

Data Retention

Data Deletion Request

Users should provide sufficient information to help us identify the relevant app or device-linked records. Additional verification may be required to prevent unauthorized deletion requests.

After receiving and verifying a valid deletion request, we will delete eligible information within a reasonable period and generally within 90 days, unless certain information must be retained for legal, payment, accounting, fraud prevention, security, dispute-resolution, or compliance reasons.

Deleting eligible records may permanently remove learning progress, quiz history, analytics, bookmarks, rewards, weak-topic information, anonymous usage analytics, and other associated device-linked information. Deleted information may not be recoverable.

Deleting app data does not automatically cancel an active Google Play subscription. Subscriptions must be managed or canceled through Google Play.

International Data Processing

Nursing Study and its service providers may process or store information in countries other than the user’s country of residence. Privacy and data-protection laws may differ between countries. Where required, reasonable safeguards will be used for applicable international data processing.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our apps, services, data practices, third-party providers, legal requirements, or Google Play policies.
